I Love a Good Before and After...
...but in this case I love the before more. I was perusing realsimple.com this morning and came across some bedroom before and afters (I promise my bedroom is really almost done!), and the after just doesn't do it for me. I think I just like the colors of the before better, although obviously it does need some work. What do you think?

The before looks like a real room and I agree that the colors look warm, it may need some decor over the bed but it's already lovely. The after is too "designed", a mirror over the bed and the bedskirt is something I would never have. I do agree with the all white linens.
You've managed to say exactly what I was feeling, but couldn't put into words - the after is too "designed". I do love the white linens as well though, and is what I have used on my bed for the past several years.
Funny. I just looked at that slideshow today, too.
I thought the after was OK, but the headboard didn't need to be all covered up. It's actually kind of cool.
Yeah, I liked the headboard as well. The grain of the wood is beautiful!
