Yes, Mother, I Am Alive

I just thought I would drop a little note to say I really haven't gone MIA, but last week and this week are crazy hectic, so don't expect much from me. Gotta love having to go to public meetings and getting home at 11 or 12 at night every night. At some point I promise I will finish posting my Philly pictures (yes, there are more), as well as other random pics I've been taking (cool bugs, Embassy open houses, etc). Stay tuned for my reemergence into society!

Could be worse. You could have jury duty like me this week.

Ah, but I already had jury duty like a month ago. I didn't get put on a jury, so instead just had to sit there for a day watching parts of movies because they never let us actually finish watching one of them. Fun times.

Also, the beauty of going to grad school out of state is that you never have to do jury duty. I totally got out of it when I was at UT.

I unfortunately am going to the school that is just a few short miles from where I have lived most of my life.

Luckily, apparently being an engineer means that it's unlikely you get put on a jury because the lawyers don't like our over-analytical minds. I got called up as a candidate today but then got dismissed after they found out what I do.

Are these, like, public hearings?

Those are the worst.
